What Is a Relapse Prevention Program?

At Woodland Recovery Center, we know that in order to stop the cycle of repeated visits to rehab, an individual’s treatment and services plan must be assessed continually and modified as necessary to ensure that it meets his or her changing needs.

Our patients may require varying combinations of therapies and treatments after inpatient rehab and recovery. In addition to addiction counseling or psychotherapy, we might offer:

A continuing care approach provides the best results, with the treatment intensity varying according to a person’s changing needs.

Our relapse prevention program includes weekly individual and group therapy, monitoring, alumni groups and programs, volunteer opportunities, sober activities, and appropriate support groups.

Ongoing Support Can Prevent Relapse

If returning home means you won’t be local, that’s okay. We have Skype and other technologies to bridge the physical distance barrier. We have many patients in recovery who head back to their hometowns when on-campus treatment is complete. Because of this, we offer remote meetings and ongoing recovery support sessions to our alumni to keep them on track as they re-acclimate to the old neighborhood.

You can also set up regular phone consultations with us to help you stay on track. Our plan is to help you stay sober and encouraged as you face new challenges. This can be a stressful time, but we’re here with you to ensure that everything will go as smoothly as possible.

After a full recovery, you can expect a call from Woodland Recovery Center at least once a month for a year. We will be checking in with you because we care about your success, and if you’re struggling in any way, it’s important that you know we are there for you, no matter what.

Often, our alumni appreciate the chance to reconnect with the people who helped put them on their path to a peaceful recovery. We also appreciate the chance to hear the positive outcomes of our therapeutic approach.

Our door is always open to those who have been through our program, whether it’s to share positive stories of success or if it’s to share fears and moments of weakness. We’ve heard it all. We love you anyway, and we are a part of your extended family.

This is how and why we have managed to help so many people through treatment and into a life of recovery.
